Recently this blog has taken an unfortunate turn for the political. Here are some good articles which characterize Palin's performance during the Gibson interview, her foreign policy experience, and her similarities to George Bush.
It is my hope that in the coming weeks everybody sees Palin for the lipstick model she is and we get back to talking about the real issues: energy, foreign policy, the war in Iraq, and the economy, to name a few.

During the Gibson interview, Palin claimed that many other VP nominees hadn't met foreign heads of state before being selected. According to ABC News, every VP nominee for the past 30 years has met a foreign head of state before being selected as the VP candidate. Link
