- Mirror the current install on a new external disk using SuperDuper.
- Verify that my computer can boot from the external disk in the even that the install goes sideways.
- Install Leopard.
- Migrate my user directory from the backup disk.
- Install the apps I use.
I have a list of OSX apps that I use every day. I think a few will become unnecessary (or, god forbid, unusable) once I upgrade. Also, I've added a few to the list. Here is the new lineup:
- OSX
- X11
- developer tools. I don't know how this will work with the new version.
- iWork
- iLife
- FlickrExport
- iScrobbler
- firefox
- textwrangler
- OmniGraffle Pro
- OmniOutliner Pro
- Adium
- Vienna
- Flip4Mac
- Perian
- TeXShop
- colloquy
- Alarm Clock 2
- Grand Perspective
- MarsEdit
- MoneyDance
- macfuse
- fink
- wget
- pwgen
- subversion client
- wget
I'll update the list as soon as I install Leopard.
